* We follow a low-vaccine protocol.
* We support genetic diversity and keep any line-breeding to an absolute minimum.
* All of the dogs in our breeding program have been tested with UCDavis’s VGL Genetic Diversity Test.
* Our puppy's tails are docked to a long, show appropriate length and dewclaws are left intact.
* QUALITY over QUANTITY- Crystal Creek only has a few carefully planned litters a year. (We may have some years with a fuller breeding schedule, other years we may only have a single litter plan. Litter plans vary on our personal schedule as well as our show schedule.)

At Crystal Creek we work towards producing sound puppies, mentally and physically. Our dogs are fully health tested before they are bred, and are shown in AKC & UKC conformation as well as performance sports. My mission to improve the quality of multicolored poodles, however health and temperament is also heavily valued in our breeding program.
We run a fairly small breeding program. "Small yet mighty" I breed because it is my passion; I absolutely adore my dogs and their breed. It is my goal to leave a lasting, positive impact on poodles. I do not breed for the purpose of financial gain; I breed to fix both structural and health issues within my lines and to make a brighter future for the standard poodle community. I do not believe in large scale commercial breeding operations and I refuse to let my dogs live as anything other than a cherished family member.
Since we value the quality of life for our dogs, many of our breeding dogs live with co-owners or guardian families. Our retired dogs are also placed into companion homes after they are spayed/neutered so they can live out their golden years where they can get more one on one attention.
My dogs sleep with me at night, they join us for camping, boating, hiking, and often they even go to work with me. My dogs are raised just like any other typical pet; they hog the bed, use the couch as a jungle gym, and they are my go-to road trip buddies. Our dogs are family above anything else.
The majority of our dogs are sold to performance sport homes or sold as companions with spay/neuter agreements.
Crystal Creek does not sell dogs to commercial breeding operations, breeders who produce doodles/designer dogs or breed merle "poodles". We only allow our dogs to be sold to other breeders with like-minded goals and ethics.
A little about me...

Incase you haven't followed me through the years on social media, my name is Bonnie; and this is my story.
I was blessed to *always* have dogs in my life from day one. I actually grew up with German Shepherd Dogs. When my parents brought me home from the hospital, I was loved and protected by three GSD's; one which will forever have a special place in my heart; his name was Jet.
My grandmother, Joann Wolf raised German Shepherds as well as Belgian Shepherds; She passed her love for mans best friend off to my father; who also raised shepherds back in the day. My parents raised their last set of litters when I was a young child. I loved every moment of it (except for when the puppies left of course!) As young as 16, I knew I wanted to be a breeder. In high school I took as many animal husbandry classes that our school had to offer: From small animal care classes, to zoology and advanced biology. (Special Thanks to Mr. Younts who was one of the best Agriculture teachers through the years!)
It wasn't until I was 19 that I discovered my passion for poodles. I started working in the grooming field for a friend to earn extra cash while I was in college. It was actually a miniature poodle that stole my heart; he was one of our client dogs. I loved everything about him, but growing up with my shepherds, I wanted a "big dog" so I began my research on the Standard poodle.
I purchased Athena, my very first poodle. I named her in honor of my Grandma Wolf; Athena's registered name reflects my grandmother who passed away before my journey as a breeder began. "Crystal Creek's Heavenly Guardian" is a reference to my grandma as my guardian angel. I'm forever thankful that Athena came into my life: She holds a lot of firsts for me. She was my first dog that I championed, my first dog to do sports with; the first dog I bred. We traveled the US together; and she is responsible for holding me together on some of my darkest days.
I whelped my first litter of standard poodles at age twenty-two in 2015. There were seven puppies born in that litter; five of those seven have gone on to earn performance titles, conformation titles; and one became a medial alert dog. I could not be more proud of my dogs and their amazing owners. I hope to continue to be able to provide excellent quality poodle puppies for many years to come, I'm also excited to see how I continue to evolve and adapt as a breeder over the years; the amazing thing about breeding is you NEVER stop learning...
My long term goal as a breeder: When I first started this journey in 2015; my goal was to 'simply' improve parti-colored poodles.
This alone as not changed, I still aspire to work on improving multi-colored poodles: but I have a new mission for my job as a responsible breeder, and that is to improve the overall diversity within the poodle breed. This goal is not a race but a marathon: it will be something that I work on until the day I retire.

I also wanted to spotlight one of my best friends and “partner in crime” Kyle. Kyle moved in with me during the height of covid. We met at Nora’s Veterinary Hospital where we both worked together.
Kyle didn’t have any of his own pets at the time but quickly fell in love with my poodles whenever I brought them into work. I gave George to Kyle as a co-ownership agreement to see if he might enjoy attending shows and dog sports too.
Fast forward two years and Kyle has became a strong member of the Crystal Creek Family. He’s become a skilled novice handler, already is picking up quick in his grooming skills, and he is literally a star when helping me whelp and raise puppies.
I’m over the moon to have a best friend to accompany me on this crazy journey raising our favorite breed. If you ever run into us at shows, please feel free to say hi!
